Rules & Registration
Registration is $10 per team by February 8, 2008. After that, the late fee is $15 per team. To register, fill out the GMD 2008 registration and:
- drop it off at the CSSU office in BA 2283 (2nd floor) along with the registration fee or
- drop it off at one of the utGDDC club meetings along with the registration fee or
- email gmd@utgddc.com with the required information and we’ll set up a time for you to submit the registration fee
You will receive a confirmation email about your registration within a few days. The rules of this competition can be found in the registration form as well.For veterans of the competition, we have made a few changes to the rules of GMD in order to make the competition a more pleasant experience (I hope). These include:
- Choice of one of two themes
- Two tier judging system:
- First round is peer evaluation to determine the top 10 games.
- The top 10 games will move onto the second round where it will be carefully evaluated by a panel of judges.
- Judging based on the following categories:
- Sound and music
- Graphics and art
- Adherence to theme
- Originality and creativity
- Technical acheivement
- Overall
- No anonymous rule — brag about your game all you want throughout the competition!
