Rules & Registration

Registration is $10 per team by February 8, 2008. After that, the late fee is $15 per team. To register, fill out the GMD 2008 registration and:

  • drop it off at the CSSU office in BA 2283 (2nd floor) along with the registration fee or
  • drop it off at one of the utGDDC club meetings along with the registration fee or
  • email with the required information and we’ll set up a time for you to submit the registration fee

You will receive a confirmation email about your registration within a few days. The rules of this competition can be found in the registration form as well.For veterans of the competition, we have made a few changes to the rules of GMD in order to make the competition a more pleasant experience (I hope). These include:

  • Choice of one of two themes
  • Two tier judging system:
    • First round is peer evaluation to determine the top 10 games.
    • The top 10 games will move onto the second round where it will be carefully evaluated by a panel of judges.
  • Judging based on the following categories:
    • Sound and music
    • Graphics and art
    • Adherence to theme
    • Originality and creativity
    • Technical acheivement
    • Overall
  • No anonymous rule — brag about your game all you want throughout the competition!
